Squeak...Squeak...

The Holidays are not too far away and they will sneak up on you faster than you can eat that Halloween candy.  In my constant search for new and exciting toys, clothing and ideas I have found the cutest little shoes for toddlers.  What a fantastic way to get them excited about walking around.  Not to mention how fun it is to see peoples faces light up when they hear those little squeaky feet walking in the mall.

I found that these shoes are not only fun but really helpful.  When my son was in therapy learning how to walk these shoes really motivated him to get up and try.  Every step he took was exciting , he wanted to hear them squeak some more.
They have so many to choose from.  What a Fun little shop.http://www.squeakyshoestore.com/index.html
Keep an eye out we will soon become your one stop shop for squeaky shoes too :)

A Great Place to Start

As the weeks go by and Max and Olivia slowly grows I have to often wonder what can we do to help.  How can we help the thousands of families out there with children who have special needs.  This is where we could use your help... please tell us what helps you.  We want to share your stories and get the word out there to new families wondering "what do we do now?"
Our own children face daily struggles.  My son the other day wanted to know why he couldn't jump like the others kids at the play ground.  It's heart breaking.  Having a community that supports each other is important.  I told Max...he may not be able to jump like them but he can do other things they cannot.  We are all different and have our own talents.  So not to worry, instead of trying to jump like them show them what you can do.
Thank you for your support and please send us your funny, trying, emotional stories and we are always looking to share your advice.

A Great Run!!

Cerebral palsy is condition, sometimes thought of as a group of disorders that can involve brain and nervous system functions such as movement, learning, hearing, seeing, and thinking.
Max was born a happy little baby who like many people can understand spent sometime in the NICU after his delivery.  As time went on he was diagnosed at 18 months with mild CP.  After months of rehab and tons of love and support he has grown into a wonderful preschooler....still far from being able to use his right hand properly but has the ambition to concur his own disability.
My sister ran for the London Marathon to support Cerebral Palsy and we couldn't be more happier for her supporting us and this cause.  She ran on behalf of all children and adults dealing with this everyday and ran in honor of Max.  A wonderful little boy who's spirit captivates everyone who meets him.
Thanks for your support!!  It's still not to late to help support this cause please feel free if you like to donate to our site.  If you would like to share your story with us please email us at maxandoliviaboutique@live.com and we will be happy to help post your donation support!
